Removal & Installation
- Disconnect negative battery cable. Remove 3 instrument panel finish panel retaining screw covers. Remove 6 screws retaining instrument panel finish panel to instrument panel. See Fig 1 .
- Pull instrument panel finish panel away from instrument panel. Disconnect wiring harness connectors from instrument cluster and heated rear window switch and light, if equipped. Remove instrument panel finish panel.
- Remove 5 screws retaining instrument cluster. On non-tilt models, lower steering column to gain clearance to remove instrument cluster.
- Pull instrument cluster away from instrument panel. Disconnect 2 instrument cluster printed circuit connectors from instrument cluster back plate. Remove instrument cluster. To install, reverse removal procedure.
NOTE:
When battery has been disconnected and reconnected, some abnormal drive symptoms may occur while powertrain control module relearns its adaptive strategy. Vehicle may need to be driven 10 or more miles to relearn strategy.
