Coolant Temperature Always Reads Cold
- Temperature Indicator Sending Unit Check - Perform TEMPERATURE SENDING UNIT TEST under COMPONENT TESTS. If necessary, replace temperature sending unit. If temperature sending unit is okay, go to next step.
- Temperature Gauge Check - Perform TEMPERATURE GAUGE TEST under COMPONENT TESTS. If necessary, replace temperature gauge. If temperature gauge is okay, go to next step.
- Indicator Circuit Check - Turn ignition off. Disconnect instrument cluster C209 (White) connector. Check resistance of Yellow/Black wire between instrument cluster connector C209 terminal A8 and temperature sending unit connector (located at top left side of engine). If resistance is less than 5 ohms, replace instrument cluster printed circuit board. If resistance is not as specified, repair open in Yellow/Black wire.
