Fuel Gauge Test
- Remove instrument cluster. See INSTRUMENT CLUSTER under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Using jumper wires, connect positive battery terminal to fuel gauge "+" terminal and negative battery terminal to gauge "-" terminal.
- Connect one lead of Rotunda Instrument Gauge System Tester (014-R1063) to fuel gauge "F-U" terminal. Connect other tester lead to gauge "-" terminal. With tester resistances as specified, gauge should indicate as shown. See Fig 1
. If gauge indications are not as specified, replace fuel gauge.
