Pinpoint Test L - Battery VLTGE Gauge Inoperative/Inaccurate

  1. Ensure charging system is okay. Turn ignition off. Remove instrument cluster. See INSTRUMENT CLUSTER  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
  2. Turn ignition off. Measure resistance between instrument cluster circuit board pin 6A and "+" screw on voltmeter See Figure . If resistance is less than 5 ohms, go to next step. If resistance is not less than 5 ohms, replace instrument cluster printed circuit.
  3. Measure resistance between instrument cluster circuit board pin 9A and "-" terminal on voltmeter. See Figure . If resistance is less than 5 ohms, replace voltmeter. If resistance is not less than 5 ohms, replace instrument cluster printed circuit.
