Front Brake Caliper: Disassembly

Remove caliper. See FRONT BRAKE CALIPER & PADS  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Place shop towels or block of wood in caliper to catch piston. Apply air pressure in brake hose bore to remove piston. If piston is seized, tap lightly around piston while applying air pressure. Remove piston from caliper. Remove dust boot. See Figure . Being careful not to scratch caliper bore, remove piston bore seal.
