Installation (Windstar)

  1. Reverse removal procedure to install. Ensure torque converter is fully seated. Align reference marks on axle shafts.
  2. Tighten all bolts/nuts to specification. See appropriate TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . Fill transaxle with Motorcraft Mercon ATF (XT-2-QDX). For fluid capacity and control cable or linkage adjustment, see TRANSMISSION SERVICING - A/T article.
