Cleaning & Inspection: Inspection: Pump

Inspect fluid passages. Inspect mating surfaces of pump body and case for burrs. Inspect gear teeth for burrs. Inspect gear bearing surfaces and pump bushing for scoring. Minor burrs and scoring may be polished with crocus cloth.
