Power Steering Pump & Pulley: Installation

  1. Install adjustment bracket on pump. Tighten bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  . Using Pulley Installer (T65P-3A733-C), install pulley flush on end of pump shaft.
  2. Place pump assembly on support bracket. Install and tighten adjustment bracket-to-support bracket bolts to specification. Install and adjust belt on pulley. Tighten adjustment bracket bolts to specification.
  3. Install hoses to pump. Tighten to specification. Fill reservoir. Start engine. Turn wheel from stop-to-stop to bleed air from system. Recheck reservoir. Refill reservoir (as necessary).
