Cleaning & Inspection

Examine parts for wear and contamination. Replace as necessary. Inspect yoke to ensure that insert is seated flush with yoke body. If pinion teeth are pitted or worn, or if upper bearing is damaged or binding, replace entire steering gear assembly as a unit.
