SAFING Sensor: Removal
Before proceeding, read and understand all air bag service precautions. See SERVICE PRECAUTIONS . Disable air bag system. See DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM . Safing sensor is attached to cowl, behind right kick panel. See Fig 1 and Fig 2 . Remove right kick panel. Remove retaining screws and sensor from cowl panel. Disconnect sensor from wiring assembly connector. Remove sensor from vehicle.
