Possible Causes
Higher than normal voltage at terminal No. 11 can be caused by following conditions:
- Open in one or more circuits between center impact sensor and bracket and front frame rail sensor and bracket. Circuit No. 617 or 619 may have an open circuit in wiring.
- Abnormally high resistance value across one or both center impact sensor and bracket and front frame rail sensor and bracket. One or more of sensor resistors may have to high resistance or open circuit.
- Intermittent open between positive terminal of battery and terminal No. 13 may cause diagnostic monitor to determine voltage on terminals No. 17 and 18 is to high compared to voltage on terminal No. 13.
- Resistance across right cowl side panel front safing sensor. Safing sensor is a normally open switch with infinite resistance across contacts. If right cowl side panel front safing sensor is worn or damaged and resistance builds up across open contacts, voltage on circuit No. 611 will increase voltage on circuit No. 614.
