Electrical System

Air bag system is powered directly from battery and can function with ignition switch in any position, including OFF and LOCK. System can also function when driver and passenger seats are unoccupied. Main functions performed by electrical subsystem are: detecting impacts, switching electric power to air bag ignitor, and monitoring readiness of air bag system.
