Removal & Installation (Bronco)

  1. Remove 6 bolts and remove manual locking hub cover. Remove snap ring retaining axle shaft in hub body assembly. Remove locking hub body-to-wheel hub lock ring. Install 2 bolts to remove locking hub body. See Fig 1.
  2. To install locking hub, reverse removal procedure. Tighten locking hub cover bolts to 35-53 INCH lbs. (4-6 N.m). DO NOT pack locking hub cover with grease.
