Removal (F250, F350 & F350 Super Duty Pickup)

  1. Disconnect negative battery cable. Remove external slave cylinder or disconnect clutch slave cylinder hydraulic line by pressing White retainer bushing with Disconnect Tool (T88T-70522-A) while pulling on line. See Figure.
  2. Remove clutch release shaft and dust cover (if equipped). Remove transmission. See TRANSMISSION . On 4WD, remove transfer case. See TRANSFER CASE .
  3. Place mark on pressure plate and flywheel for reassembly reference. Some vehicles are equipped with orange paint on clutch pressure plate and flywheel for reassembly reference. Remove pressure plate and clutch disc. Using puller, remove pilot bearing (if replacement is necessary).
