Blower Motor Amperage Draw Test

- Disconnect wiring harness at blower motor. Connect positive lead of 18-amp (minimum) DC test meter to blower motor positive terminal and negative lead to corresponding wire. Connect jumper wire from negative motor terminal to ground wire in harness.
- Adjust temperature control knob to WARM position and function selector knob to FLR position. Start engine. Operate blower motor through entire speed range. Compare ammeter readings with specifications listed in BLOWER MOTOR TEST SPECIFICATIONS table under BLOWER MOTOR VOLTAGE DROP TEST. Replace blower motor if current draw is not as specified. Disconnect all test leads, and reconnect wiring harness.
