AIR BAG warning light is the prime means of determining air bag system condition. If AIR BAG warning light fails to illuminate and a fault occurs, a series of 5 sets of 5 audible tones will be heard, indicating air bag system requires servicing. Tones do not indicate fault Code 55. If air bag system is not serviced, air bag system may not function properly in an accident.
