High Pressure Oil Pump: Removal

  1. Loosen turbocharger compressor manifold hose clamp. Using suction, remove oil from high pressure oil pump reservoir. Remove fuel filter. Remove necessary hoses from high pressure oil pump. See Fig 1.
  2. Disconnect harness connector from high pressure oil pressure control solenoid. Remove high pressure oil pressure regulator.
  3. Remove access cover on front of engine exposing high pressure oil pump drive sprocket bolt. Remove drive sprocket bolt and washer. Remove high pressure oil pump mounting bolts and pump.
