Fuel Injectors: Installation

  1. Apply Threadlock 262 (E2FZ-19554-B) to injector as shown. Install new sleeve using Injector Sleeve Replacer (014-00934) and rubber mallet. See Fig 1. Clean any residual sealant from sleeve and injector bore.

  2. Ensure injector bore is completely clean. If reusing fuel injector, replace "O" rings. See Fig 2. Lubricate "O" rings with engine oil. Using Fuel Injector Replacer (T94T-9000-AH2), install fuel injector. See Fig 3.
  3. Install oil deflector and outer injector retaining bolt. Tighten to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . Connect electrical connector to fuel injector. Install valve cover. Tighten valve cover bolts to specification.
