Test "B" (Blower Motor Inoperative)

- Check EATC System
Test EATC system operation. See EATC SYSTEM TEST under TESTING. Repair as necessary. If system tests okay, go to next step. - Check Blower Motor Operation
Start engine. Select MAX A/C. If blower motor does not run, go to next step. If blower motor runs, testing is complete. Blower motor is okay at this time. - Check Voltage At Orange/Black Wire Terminal Of Blower Speed Controller (BSC)
Turn ignition off. Disconnect BSC connector. Start engine. Select MAX A/C. Measure voltage between terminals No. 4 (Orange/Black wire) and No. 5 (Black wire) of BSC connector. If voltage is 10 volts or more, go to next step. If voltage is less than 10 volts, check fuse No. 6 in power distribution box, Black/Light Green wire, Black wire at BSC connector, Orange/Black wire and Pink/White wire. - Check Voltage At Blower Motor
Reconnect BSC connector. Disconnect blower motor connector. Measure voltage between Pink/White wire and Orange/Black wire terminals of blower motor connector. If voltage is 10 volts or less, go to next step. If voltage is more than 10 volts, replace blower motor. - Check EATC Module Voltage Input To BSC
Disconnect BSC connector. Set blower motor thumbwheel in highest speed setting. Measure voltage between terminals No. 3 (White/Pink wire) and No. 5 (Black wire) of BSC connector. If voltage is more than 10 volts, replace BSC. If voltage is 10 volts or less, go to next step. - Check Voltage Output At EATC Module
Turn ignition off. Reconnect BSC connector. Start engine. Select MAX A/C. Set blower motor thumbwheel in highest speed setting. Measure voltage between ground and terminal No. 9 (White/Pink wire) of EATC module connector (backprobe terminal). If voltage is 10 volts or less, replace EATC module (control panel). If voltage is more than 10 volts, repair White/Pink wire.
