Vehicle Preparation & Equipment Hookup: Notes

Apply parking brake, and place shift lever in Park (A/T) or Neutral (M/T) position. Block drive wheels. Turn off all electrical accessories. If vehicle is equipped with an auxiliary powertrain control system (RPM control), it must be turned off when performing appropriate self-test. Start engine and bring up to normal operating temperature. Connect appropriate test equipment to vehicle as follows.
