Fuel Pump Relay

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 1996 Mercury Villager and 1995 Mercury Villager. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

Check 15-amp FUEL PUMP fuse. If fuse is okay, remove fuel pump relay located in left engine compartment relay block. Connect battery voltage to terminal "A". See Fig 1 . Ground terminal "B". Measure resistance between terminals "C" and "D". Resistance should be less than 5 ohms with power applied and greater than 10,000 ohms with power removed.
