Blower Switch

  1. Remove control panel. See CONTROL PANEL ASSEMBLY  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. With blower switch connector removed, use self-powered test light or ohmmeter to test switch.
  2. To test low circuit, connect self-powered test light between Red/Orange and Dark Blue/White wire terminals. With blower switch in low position, continuity should be present. Continuity should not be present with blower switch in any other position. Replace switch if it does not test correctly.
  3. To test medium-low circuit, connect self-powered test light between Light Green/White and Dark Blue/White wire terminals. With blower switch in medium-low position, continuity should be present. Continuity should not be present with blower switch in any other position. Replace switch if it does not test correctly.
  4. To test medium-high circuit, connect self-powered test light between Yellow/Red and Dark Blue/White wire terminals. With blower switch in medium-high position, continuity should be present. Continuity should not be present with blower switch in any other position. Replace switch if it does not test correctly.
  5. To test high circuit, connect self-powered test light between Orange/Black and Dark Blue/White wire terminals. With blower switch in HI position, continuity should be present. Continuity should not be present with blower switch in any other position. Replace switch if it does not test correctly.
