Clutch Cycling Pressure Switch
WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 1995 Ford Aerostar. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
Clutch cycling pressure switch, positioned on accumulator-drier, controls compressor clutch cycling. Pressure switch closes when evaporator pressure increases to 41.0-44.0 psi (2.9-3.1 kg/cm2 ) and opens when pressure decreases to 24.5 psi (1.7 kg/cm2 ). The pressure switch also interrupts compressor operation if ambient temperature is less than 45°F (7°C).
