Fuel Supply Pump Outlet Pressure

Remove vacuum purge valve from fuel filter adapter. Install Adapter (3019) and Pressure Test Kit (014-00761). See Figure . Ensure hose clamp is closed on sampling hose. Leave adapter from previous test installed and cap end. Run engine at idle, no load. Record pressure reading. On dual tank vehicles, check both tanks. Pressure should be at least 2 psi at idle. If pressure is at least 2 psi at idle, replace fuel filter and repeat FUEL FILTER OUTLET PRESSURE test. If pressure is not less than 2 psi at idle, go to next test.
