WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 1995 Ford RV Cutaway, 1995 Ford Econoline, 1995 Ford Cutaway, and 1995 Ford Club Wagon. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
- Remove screw from transfer pump pressure port cover. Install Transfer Pump Pressure Adapter (5650) through cover and "O" ring and into port. Install Pressure Test Kit (014-00761). See Figure . Ensure fittings are tight and not leaking. Run engine at 3300 RPM, with no load and transmission in Neutral or Park. Record pressure reading. Pressure reading should be 90-110 psi.
- If pressure reading is 90-110 psi, go to next test. If pressure reading is not as specified, replace injection pump. If performance problem still exists after installing new injection pump, check and adjust injection pump dynamic timing. See DYNAMIC INJECTION PUMP TIMING . If problem still exists after adjusting timing, go to next test.
CAUTION:
Full throttle stop screw is not adjustable. Tampering may cause injection pump damage.
