Check Hose Connections

Check for damage to hose connections at rubber fuel hose from chassis fuel line to mechanical fuel pump and at inlet and outlet hoses at water separator. Tighten hose clamps to 8-13 INCH lbs. (1-1.5 N.m). After tightening hose clamps, run engine for 5 minutes at 3000 RPM and check for air bubbles in polyvinyl chloride hose. If bubbles are not observed, problem is resolved. Replace polyvinyl chloride hose with original hose. If bubbles are still observed, go to next test.
