Fuel Pump: Removal

- On Van, remove turbocharger. See TURBOCHARGER . Remove compressor manifold and intake manifold hose assembly. On all models, remove fuel line banjo bolt from fuel pump. See Figure. Remove fuel line fittings at rear of cylinder heads. Remove fuel line assembly. Loosen fuel hose clamps. Remove fuel hoses from fuel pump and plug.
- Disconnect water drain hose from fuel filter. Remove fuel filter and position aside. Remove 2 fuel pump bolts and remove fuel pump. Remove fuel pump lifter from bore (if necessary).
