Fuel Pump: Installation

- Rotate engine until fuel pump cam lobe is on base circle to ease installation and avoid damage to fuel pump. Install fuel pump lifter (if removed). Replace fuel pump "O" ring. See Fig 2. Install fuel pump. Tighten fuel pump bolts to specification. See, in this article, TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . Install fuel filter and connect water drain hose.
- Install fuel hoses onto fuel pump and tighten clamps. Install fuel line assembly with NEW seal rings at fuel pump. Loosely install fuel line fittings at rear of cylinder heads. Install fuel line banjo bolt and tighten to specification. Tighten fuel line fittings. On Van, install turbocharger, compressor manifold and intake manifold hose assembly.
