Engine Front Cover: Removal

  1. Remove engine. See ENGINE. Remove water pump. Refer to WATER PUMP . Using a breaker bar to prevent crankshaft from rotating, remove crankshaft pulley bolt and washer. Remove crankshaft pulley. Install Damper Remover (T79T-6316-A2), Adapter (T79T-6316-A3) and Adapter Bolt (T94T-6379-AH3), and remove vibration damper.
  2. Remove oil pan. See OIL PAN . Remove oil pump screen cover and tube. Remove 4 engine front cover bolts. Remove engine front cover and 2 front cover gaskets.
