Crankshaft Front Seal: Installation

  1. Coat sealing surface of NEW seal with multipurpose grease. Install oil seal using Seal Replacer (T94T-6700-AH), Thread Adapter (T94T-6379-AH3), Driver Sleeve (T79T-6316-A4) and Driver/Puller Screw (T79T-6316-A). Install oil seal until fully seated. Check and fill oil level.
  2. Use Driver Handle (T80T-4000-W) and Damper Wear Ring Replacer (T94T-6379-AH2) to install NEW damper wear ring. Position wear ring on replacer and apply Loctite No. 271 to inner diameter of wear ring. Position assembly on crankshaft damper. Seat damper wear ring using hammer.
  3. Apply silicone sealer to crankshaft keyway. Using Driver/Puller Screw (T79T-6316-A1), Driver Sleeve (T79T-6316-A4) and Thread Adapter (T94T-6379-AH3), install crankshaft damper. Install crankshaft pulley, crankshaft pulley bolt and washer. Tighten crankshaft pulley bolt to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
  4. To complete installation, reverse removal procedure. Refill and bleed cooling system. Check and fill oil level.
