Oil Pump: Inspection

Inspect components for damage and wear. Check oil pump outer rotor-to-oil pump housing clearance. If outer rotor-to-oil pump housing clearance is not.012-.032" (.30-.81 mm), replace oil pump. Check oil pump drive gear end clearance. If oil pump drive gear end clearance is not.001-.003" (.025-.076 mm), replace oil pump. Oil pump is serviced as an assembly.
