Cylinder Head: Installation

CAUTION: If valves/seats were serviced, check and adjust valve clearance. See VALVE CLEARANCE ADJUSTMENT under ADJUSTMENTS.

Ensure gasket mating surfaces are clean and flat. Properly install NEW cylinder head gasket as marked on gasket. DO NOT use sealer on head gasket. Install cylinder head and bolts. Tighten bolts in sequence to specification. See Figure. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
Lubricate push rod ends, valve stem tips, rocker arms and fulcrum seats with Multipurpose Grease (DOAZ-19584-AA). To complete installation, reverse removal procedure. Fill and bleed air from cooling system. See COOLING SYSTEM BLEEDING .
