- Check idle speed. See IDLE SPEED & MIXTURE in appropriate ADJUSTMENTS article below.
- ADJUSTMENTS - 4.9L
- ADJUSTMENTS - 5.0L
- ADJUSTMENTS - 5.8L
- ADJUSTMENTS - 7.3L DIESEL
- ADJUSTMENTS - 7.5L
- Check air intake system. Ensure throttle plate and linkages operate properly.
- Check A/C system. See A/C-HEATER SYSTEM in the AIR CONDITIONING & HEAT section.
- Ensure engine operates at normal operating temperature.
