Valve Lifters: Installation

- Lubricate lifter and cylinder block bore with Oil Conditioner (D9AZ-19579-D) or heavy engine oil. Install lifter in original location, with alignment tab in locating groove of bore. See Fig 1. Ensure lifters slide freely in bore.
- To install cylinder head, reverse removal procedure. See CYLINDER HEAD . Tighten bolts and nuts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . To install remaining components, reverse removal procedure.
