Removal & Installation: Camshaft: Installation

- Lubricate camshaft lobes and bearing surfaces with Oil Conditioner (D9AZ-19579-D). Install camshaft carefully to prevent damaging bearings and journal surfaces. Install thrust plate so it covers main oil gallery. See Figure.
- Ensure camshaft end play is within specification. See CAMSHAFT table under ENGINE SPECIFICATIONS. To complete installation, reverse removal procedure. Fill and bleed cooling system. Refer to COOLING SYSTEM BLEEDING .
