Idle speed is not adjustable. If idle speed is too fast or too slow, check throttle body for damage, wear or sludge. Repair or replace as necessary. If throttle body is okay, check for fault codes (DTCs) stored in PCM memory. If no DTCs are present, go to appropriate TESTS W/O CODES - EEC-IV article (for Aerostar) in the ENGINE PERFORMANCE section.
