Installation (All Models)

  1. Clean all gasket mating surfaces. Coat both surfaces of NEW timing chain cover gasket with sealing compound. Install timing chain cover gasket. Install timing chain cover. Lightly oil threads of bolt and stud, except those with Teflon sealant, before installation. See Fig 1.
  2. Tighten bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  table. To complete installation, reverse removal procedure. Fill and bleed cooling system.
