Removal (Aerostar)

Disconnect negative battery cable. Remove dipstick. Raise and support vehicle. Remove retainer clip and electrical connector at oil low level sensor (if equipped). Drain engine oil. Remove starter motor. Remove transmission. See TRANSMISSION REMOVAL & INSTALLATION article in TRANSMISSION SERVICING. Remove oil pan bolts, oil pan and gasket.
