Removal (Aerostar & Ranger)

Disconnect negative battery cable. If removing right exhaust manifold, remove spark plugs. If removing left exhaust manifold, remove EGR tube and oil dipstick tube. Separate exhaust pipes from exhaust manifolds. Note location of studs and bolts for reinstallation. Remove exhaust manifold studs and bolts. Remove exhaust manifolds.
