Pinpoint Test W - Low Washer Fluid Warning Never On
- Check system wiring harness, connectors and fuse. Repair or replace as necessary. If all components are okay, go to next step.
- Connect scan tool to Data Link Connector (DLC). Using scan tool, retrieve continuous memory DTCs. If DTC B1456 is not present, go to next step. If DTC B1456 is present, repair circuit short in Pink/Yellow wire between instrument cluster and Generic Electronic Module (GEM).
- Run wiper control functional test. Energize washer fluid level warning light. If light comes on, go to next step. If light does not come on, go to step 6).
- Disconnect washer fluid level switch wiring harness connector. Using jumper wire, connect Red/Light Green wire terminal to ground. If warning light comes on, repair open in Red/Light Green wire. If warning light does not come on, go to next step.
- Leave washer fluid level switch wiring harness connector disconnected. Using jumper wire, connect terminals together. If warning light comes on, repair open in Black/Green wire. If warning light does not come on, replace switch.
- Check warning light bulb. Replace if necessary. If bulb is okay, go to next step.
- Turn ignition on. Check for battery voltage at power feed circuit to low washer fluid indicator. If battery voltage is not present, repair open in power feed circuit to instrument cluster. If battery voltage is present, repair open in Pink/Yellow wire between instrument cluster and GEM.
