Pinpoint Test Ab - Abs Warning Never/Always On

1. If ABS warning light is always on, go to next step. If ABS warning light is never on, go to step 4).
2. Disconnect ABS module. Turn ignition to RUN position. Check instrument cluster after display prove-out. If ABS warning light is still always on, go to next step. If ABS warning light is off, check for fault in ABS module.
3. Ensure ignition is off. Remove instrument cluster. See INSTRUMENT CLUSTER  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Disconnect instrument cluster wiring harness connector. Check for continuity between ground and cluster connector C3, pin No. 2 (White/Light Blue wire). See Figure . If continuity is present, replace instrument cluster. If continuity is not present, repair White/Light Blue wire.
4. Turn ignition to RUN position. Ensure voltage is present between ground and the following terminals:
   • Connector C1, pin No. 7 (Black/Light Green wire).
   • Connector C1, pin No. 9 (Pink/Black wire).

Turn ignition off. Ensure continuity is present between ground and the following terminal:

• Connector C1, pin No. 8 (Black/White wire).

If voltage and continuity are not as specified, repair circuit as necessary. If voltage and continuity are as specified, go to next step.

5) Leave ignition off and ABS control module disconnected. Connect jumper wire between ABS connector White/Light Blue wire terminal and ground. Turn ignition switch to RUN position. If ABS warning light is still on, check for fault in ABS module. If ABS warning light is off, go to next step.

6) Turn ignition off. Remove jumper wire. Ensure continuity is present between ground and connector C1, pin No. 5 (White/Red wire). See Figure . If continuity is not present, repair circuit as necessary. If continuity is present, replace bulb.
