Pinpoint Test AF - Seat Belt Warning Never Comes On

  1. Check system wiring harness, connectors and fuse. Repair or replace as necessary. If all components are okay, go to next step.
  2. Connect scan tool to Data Link Connector (DLC). Using scan tool, retrieve continuous memory DTCs. If DTC B1462 is not present, go to next step. If DTC B1462 is present, go to step 3).
  3. Disconnect seat belt buckle switch. Using jumper wire, connect switch connector Brown/Light Blue wire terminal to ground. Using scan tool, access PID SBLTLMP. If tester indicates seat belt is in, replace seat belt buckle switch. If tester does not indicate seat belt is in, repair open in circuit No. 450 (Dark Green/Light Green wire) between generic electronic module and seat belt buckle switch.
