Printed Circuit: Removal
- Remove instrument cluster. See INSTRUMENT CLUSTER
. Remove fuel indicator module. See FUEL INDICATOR MODULE (LOW FUEL LEVEL WARNING SWITCH).CAUTION: Electronic modules are sensitive to static electrical charges. Proper grounding of technician and workpiece is essential to prevent damage.
- Remove all instrument panel light socket assemblies (twist counterclockwise). Remove clips using long-nosed pliers. Squeeze both ends of clip equally so locking ears will slide through clip opening in instrument cluster back plate. Push clips though openings. After all clips are removed, fuel gauge and/or engine coolant temperature gauge can be removed.CAUTION: DO NOT over bend clips as they may break.
- Remove speedometer and gauges. See SPEEDOMETER/ODOMETER . See ENGINE COOLANT TEMPERATURE GAUGE . See FUEL GAUGE. Gently lift printed circuit from back of instrument cluster. See Fig 1 .
