Rear Brake Caliper & Pads: Installation

  1. Install disc pads with anti-rattle clips, retaining clips and "V" springs in proper position. Using an Allen wrench, rotate manual adjustment gear until piston is fully seated in caliper. See Fig 1 .
  2. Lubricate guide pin bushings with high-temperature grease. Install caliper on guide pin, and pivot caliper onto anchor bracket. To complete installation, reverse removal procedure. Bleed brakes. See BLEEDING BRAKE SYSTEM  . Adjust parking brake. See PARKING BRAKE  under ADJUSTMENTS.
