Disassembly ABS

  1. Remove master cylinder. Clean outside of master cylinder. Remove fluid reservoir cap. Drain all brake fluid from master cylinder. Clamp master cylinder in vise at mounting flange. Remove fluid level sensor. Remove reservoir screw, and remove plastic reservoir and seals. See Fig 1 .
  2. Remove piston stop pin and "O" ring. Press primary piston inward, and remove snap ring and spacer. Remove piston guide assembly. Remove stopper. Remove primary and secondary piston assemblies. If secondary piston is difficult to remove, apply compressed air to secondary outlet port to aid in piston removal. Remove "O" ring.
