Pinpoint Test H - Oil Pressure Gauge Always Indicates Low

  1. Ensure engine oil pressure is okay. Perform OIL PRESSURE SENDING UNIT TEST under TESTING. If sending unit is okay, go to next step. Replace sending unit if it fails test.
  2. Perform OIL PRESSURE GAUGE TEST under TESTING. If oil pressure gauge is okay, go to next step. Replace oil pressure gauge if it fails test.
  3. Turn ignition off. Unplug 16-pin connector from instrument cluster. Measure resistance between Purple/Yellow wire at harness connector pin No. 6 and sending unit harness connector. If resistance is less than 5 ohms, replace instrument cluster printed circuit. If resistance is not less than 5 ohms, repair Purple/Yellow wire between instrument cluster and sending unit.
