Pinpoint Test G - Coolant Temperature Gauge Inaccurate

  1. Perform COOLANT TEMPERATURE SENDING UNIT TEST under TESTING. If sending unit is okay, go to next step. Replace sending unit if it fails test.
  2. Perform COOLANT TEMPERATURE GAUGE TEST under TESTING. If temperature gauge is okay, go to next step. Replace temperature gauge if it fails test.
  3. Turn ignition off. Unplug 14-pin connector from instrument cluster. Measure resistance between Black/Blue wire at harness connector pin No. 5 and sending unit harness connector. If resistance is less than 5 ohms, replace instrument cluster printed circuit. If resistance is not less than 5 ohms, repair Black/Blue wire between instrument cluster and sending unit.
