Pinpoint Test A - Instrument Cluster Inoperative

  1. Turn ignition off. Unplug 14-pin instrument cluster harness connector. Turn ignition on. Test for battery voltage at pin No. 6 (Black/Yellow wire) on harness connector. If battery voltage exists, go to next step. If battery voltage does not exist, replace defective fuse or repair Black/Yellow wire to fuse panel.
  2. Turn ignition off. Measure resistance between harness connector pin No. 9 (Black/Red wire) and ground. If resistance is less than 5 ohms, replace instrument cluster. If resistance is not less than 5 ohms, repair open Black/Red wire to ground.
