Instrument Panels - Analog: Testing: Voltmeter

Ensure battery is fully charged. Turn ignition and headlights on. Voltmeter should indicate approximately 12.0-12.5 volts. If gauge does not indicate properly, inspect wiring and connections. See Figure or Figure If connections are tight and wiring is okay, replace voltmeter.
