Front & Rear Output Shaft Oil Seal: Removal
- Raise vehicle. Remove skid plate and damper, if equipped. Remove front and/or rear drive shaft. Pull drive shaft and boot assembly out of transfer case front output shaft. Remove output flange lock nut, flat washer, rubber seal and output shaft flange.
- Place a drain pan under transfer case, remove drain plug and drain fluid from case. Remove oil seals by prying out or screwing into metal portion of seal and using slide hammer.
